earlier this summer I assisted the intermediate students at arbor school by printing a broadside of shakespearean quotes they had typeset. The broadside was entitled Quoth the Bard and I used wood type, a vine-ish border, and some heraldry-style tiny cuts to bring it all together. The students sold the piece to parents as a fundraiser at their performance of Much Ado About Nothing and reaped the princely sum of $400. Not bad for my 25+ hours of toil in 90-plus temps over three days. I think this letterpress thing is gonna pay off!
